Does NOT work - not sure

This is a very solid unit and looks like it works great. But that's not the case. Not so in design. Which seems impossible because it's so easy! But we have 4 cats that love running wheels and NONE of them will use this and it actually scared/damaged a few of them. Firstly, the wheel is too small for an adult cat. The kitten could use it to some extent, but could not "walk" on it yet, only walk and maybe trot safely. The angle of the bend is too sharp even for a small adult cat. You can see this in the first photo of the orange kitten, it is considered a small cat and the angle it has to bend its body to move on the wheel is just not physically comfortable and it definitely cannot be in that position to run. : The track is too narrow. All my cats are small and fall off the path all the time. They already have a One Fast Cat wheel so they know how to use Cat wheels but they couldn't get it to work without the back foot slipping off the track and they had to stop or they would fall completely and have to start over. . Third, the bolt that the wheel spins on seems like a great idea, but it's so smooth there's almost no friction on the wheel. This causes the wheel to spin too quickly once the cat starts running, causing it to lose its balance due to the harshness of the turn mentioned above and being forced to jump off the wheel or roll over. They do not like it. Fourth, the carpet in the wheel sounds like a great idea, but it's actually DANGEROUS. He easily catches her in his claws, and if the wheel is spun too quickly, as described above, her paw will spin and drag across the top. This will pull the claw out of the carpet, otherwise it will twist and they will injure themselves. This happened to all 4 cats that tried it. *** I uploaded a photo of an orange kitten stuck in a rug and pulling out a claw to push it out. As far as I can tell, he never drove again after that incident. Fifth, on the outside, the rug looks like it's great for them to scrape and scrape, but the same thing happens as above. As soon as they stick their claws into it, it starts spinning and quite quickly, dragging the claws with it and causing them distress. All 4 cats love their One Fast Cat exercise bike and take turns running on it throughout the day so I thought they would enjoy the other exercise bike just as much. But they all tried a few times, each had a rough time or bad experience and never came close after the first two days. I left it with them for another 5 days and they avoided it like the plague. The moment I gave them their OFC bike back they were running like crazy again. I think I'll buy another oxygen free copper bike and this one will come back. Too bad I wanted it to work. Maybe they'll remake it with those things in mind. Until then, I cannot recommend this Penn-Plax bike.
