My wrx already came with a short travel derailleur. While it felt much better in shorter gears, it didn't feel as secure when shifting. The extra weight is everything. I recommend any weighted grip when setting the short stroke. I chose this model because of the style, price and weight. I would recommend purchasing a Blox racing adapter to complete the look which is located just below the handlebars. For comparison, I believe the standard pen weighs 0.3 pounds compared to this pen which is closer to 1 pound.
