I recently had to replace a Casablanca fan that was beyond repair. I chose this model because of the simplistic design and deliberately looked for a non-remote option to reduce the chance of malfunction. It's in a conservatory with a white ceiling, so I chose white fan blades and custom glass shades from my original fan. The ones that come with the fan are opaque white. Also, I have a very high ceiling so I had to add an extra pull chain to access it. I don't know how easy the installation is because I hired an electrician but he had no problems. The price was 1/4 the price of other well known brands so it was a pretty good deal.
