Pleasantly surprised by the quality at a great price.

I've been trying for a long time to find a good set of inexpensive markers, I used Design2 markers a few years ago and the only thing that compares to them today are Copics but these are A LOT too expensive - 5 to 8 dollars per marker. I bet on these water based markers because they are incredibly affordable. At less than 30 cents per marker, they really don't compare to anything else. The color selection is excellent. Smooth, continuous coverage with no streaks. And they actually blend, just buy a Sakura Koi blender, it behaves differently than blending alcohol based markers, but with practice you can achieve perfect blending. With thin liners and a small marker, plus a second set of matching color markers with a large marker and a chisel tip, I can use a variety of application methods. The choice of paper when using markers is of paramount importance, you need smooth marker paper and you will not experience any bleeding. Just don't squeeze them with your fists, they are delicate and require sensitive and gentle movements. You might want to choose something different for kids or inexperienced people who might push too hard when coloring.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I have doubts
