It works for me. Use it to wrap around my seat and rear bike rack, then attach to my OnGuard Brute U-lock. I can leave it on the end pinched by the C-pillar spring clip (I think that's what it's called). It saves me time locking it in a bike rack on the subway. This is NOT my master lock, it is only used for my seat and rear bike rack. I use an OnGuard Brute U-lock and a 4ft OnGuard steel cable. This cable is thick (not sure how thick, but if I were to guess I'd say 12-15mm). I use it to lock the front wheel and the U-lock connects to both cables and secures with Sheldon Brown. Method of using U-Lock, ie through the rear tire between the triangle of the frame. So far I recommend it for what I use it for.
