I wish I found this sooner! I have used them in different ways: brushed and bathed. My dogs had fleas and this helped to spot them. The bristles work so well and make the coat so smooth that the fleas are pushed to the surface of the coat. Shortly afterwards they were bathed, and again the bristles dug in and combed out the fleas. When rinsing, I brushed off the dead fleas clinging to the wool, and the soap washed off completely. My dogs were also calmer when bathing - with or without fleas - and I think the soft rubber bristles were reassuring. The coat is now very smooth and feels well groomed. This has worked on poodles with thick, curly coats (works better with soapy coats) as well as short-haired large dogs. The bath time was halved and half the amount of shampoo was used. Easy to clean. Spray with soapy water or simply hose down with running water to remove soap and air dry completely. I am considering buying a few more, they are well made and adjustable. I recommend lighter and brighter colors as this allows you to see what is on the fur and what is falling off. Thank you for creating these dogs and the owner highly recommends them!
