First of all, this book is tiny. There are 77 pages in total, 10 of which are for the glossary. And those pages are only about 5.25 x 7.75 inches. Use the Revain Look Inside feature to get a feel for the large spaces on these pages. I had large instruction manuals. Second, the writing and presentation is so bad that it's a major distraction. There is a mistake in the first word of the book. The first illustration is a gritty screenshot with childishly drawn arrows. It's hard to find a site that isn't marked with typos and grammar that is awkward at best. Third, the book is partly a tool to promote the author's website. There are repeated references to what the author can do to help new stations and some discussion of commissions. But deep down there are indications that the author actually knows how it actually works. He talks about what is needed for a satellite TV station and alternatives to cable, terrestrial and internet broadcasting. It also includes the approximate cost of each of these items. And it even adds a bit of wisdom, like picking a satellite that already has direct viewers, so your new channel has greater initial audience potential. For the quality of presentation, this book is terribly overpriced. But if this information is worth money to you, it is available. Just remember to use Look Inside so you know what you're getting.
