Review on πŸ“§ Maxtek Premium Envelope Sleeves with Window by Austin Arvayo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is very similar to the long-discontinued Kodak paper envelopes.

First let me say that I only bought 500 CD/DVD paper sleeves from Kodak, that is until they stopped making them many years ago. I liked the quality as they were thicker than other brands and have stood the test of time. I ran out of the last two boxes of sleeves and had to look for an identical alternative as I'll be going through them pretty quickly. I am referring to Kodak as they were of high quality and had higher ratings than other brands at the time they were made. Count the Kodak boxes (you can buy these 100 at a time, not 500, so the cost per 100 is higher) I thought, I would give them a chance. Since they only sold in packs of 100, I spent about $6 on worse ways and could use them on something if they turned out to be crappy. Well to my surprise they were very good quality paper envelopes and very comparable. How close are they in comparison? Well I put them side by side and then mixed up the pair and showed it to my wife. I told her to go with Kodak. She said they looked and felt the same and both were Kodak. One was Kodak and the other was Maxtek, that's how close they are in comparison. There is a slight cosmetic difference in the crease and the size of the small flap that holds the crease in place if you choose to use it. The differences are so minimal that you really have to look. If you need a thicker, higher quality paper envelope, these Maxteks will make you happy. This is a pack of 100 instead of 1000 which seems more versatile and thinner according to many reviews I've read here, although both are made by Maxtek. I'd rather buy them in bulk, but not for the loss of quality, so I'm sticking with those 100 packs.
