I was looking for a way to transfer the outlines of buildings from a printed image (on paper) onto canvas. I found carbon paper work, but my pencils and pens didn't work very well. The texture of the canvas made it wobble and I had to try too hard. I found these pens and they did the job perfectly. The size selector is useful for transferring thin lines or thick lines to the canvas. My process consists of placing a photo under the onion skin paper and tracing the elements of the building I need on the paper with a pencil. Then erase the printed photo and replace it with carbon paper and now trace this paper with onion skins with a pen. I can also put another sheet of thicker paper under carbon paper and have a copy of what I drew on the canvas and I use this to record what colors I've applied to different areas. Very helpful for my process.
