Overall very happy with its sturdiness. It's nice that it's so stable and the extra pads where the surface touches the laptop keep it in place and prevent scratches as well. You have to remove the laptop and effectively set it up manually with two hands. However, I'd rather side with stability than instability, so I worry about that less than most people. I bought another stand because I can twist and turn the stand's face, which I would really like, but in terms of utility, this is the best I've found.
