The strap is thick and seems much stronger than I thought. It's also longer than expected which is great as I love carrying my bags over my shoulder. The gold color on the hardware is perfect, I wish the hardware on my purse was exactly the same! It's not copper at all, more like gold. The stitching is even, thick thread was used, so I'm not worried about it unraveling. Great product, especially in this price range!
