Review on YETI Small Bottle Rambler Highlands by Keith Morris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pathetic straps on a beautiful bottle!

If you intend to use it occasionally with and without straps I would NOT recommend purchasing this item. The straps are very poorly constructed and absolutely impossible to fasten! I spent 15 or 20 minutes of misery trying to attach the straps to the mount. I was able to tighten the straps but my fingers were killing me and I was ready to throw this thing out the window. This should have metal clips for quickly adding or removing a strap. Unfortunately, the straps are attached by a thick, hard plastic C-hook with a tiny hole through which you have to thread the two ends of a very thick strap sewn to the bottle cage. The tape is very thick and strong and very difficult to bend, bend and fit into the tiny hole in the plastic bracket. The first side was very difficult and the second side of the belt was almost impossible. I used a flathead screwdriver to pry the webbing through a tiny hole in the plastic loop. It was so difficult to attach that I never thought to remove the strap from the mount meaning there is no point in having clips on the back to ever think of attaching it to a cooler, as this would be inconvenient if the strap was still attached. I removed the cooler clips from the back strap, concerned that they might catch on my shirt if I use the strap to carry a bottle while hiking. Aside from a strap this would be a great product as it fits my Yeti Rambler perfectly and the flat back keeps the bottle from rolling too much when hiking.
