Review on 🔊 1141 Vibrant Ultra Quiet 2.5" Resonator by Joshua Reid

Quality: It looks and feels like a high quality product. It's quite heavy, seems very durable and I was surprised to see how well polished the stainless steel is. 10/10 for the quality for sure. The ends are 2.5" ID so my 2.5" pipes fit snugly and allow for easy seam welding. For sound: I use it on my 2012 Jetta TDI 6 speed manual. I removed/adjusted a DPF so I could have the car straight for a few days. I liked the idle noise, but above 2000 rpm the exhaust sounded hoarse, so I put this resonator in the middle pipe. Now my idle is pretty smooth and the turbo whistle is (unfortunately) mostly gone. However, I really like the sound above 2k RPM and it has COMPLETELY got rid of the harsh/harder noise I had before. Maximum deep and slightly loud. Below 2000 rpm I don't really hear the exhaust with the window open. So I'm impressed with the quality of this resonator and also appreciate that it does its job well. That being said, and depending on your application and preferences, this may make your car a bit too quiet if you want fun sounds. I add an electrical switch in front of the resonator so I can enjoy the turbo diesel noise when I feel it.
