I have a Denon X4300h receiver and an ATI 1805 amplifier with 7.2.4 installed. Since both the AVR and amp are on the bottom shelf of an entertainment console (albeit with the front panel open), they got quite hot, especially when watching movies at or near reference levels. The Aircom T8 was highly recommended on several AV forums, so I took a chance and ordered a pair. The item arrived very well packaged and was very easy to assemble. Top marks for excellent processing quality. I configured the units in automatic mode with a set temperature of 85Β°F and an alarm temperature of 90Β°F. I also set the maximum fan speed to 2. As an experiment, I watched TV with separate devices for several hours. The temperature on both was 120F+ which is above my comfort level. As soon as I switched them back to Auto, the alarm went off as expected and they went to full fan speed (level 6) until the temperature dropped to the set level. . It happened in a matter of minutes, making for an impressive drop of 35 degrees. They then resumed normal operation (fan speed 2) until the temperature dropped to 82Β°F, then shut down. . At this level they are barely audible except during very quiet or quiet moments. Nevertheless, they are not uncomfortable. Highly recommended for peace of mind and longevity of your expensive gear.
