Do not buy these as they are soft. They are perfect just the way they are and I wouldn't buy them if they made them softer. They are designed to exfoliate with great success. I'm so used to it that I almost never use soft except for the torso and face. Otherwise, I now roughly clean almost everywhere. They are so effective that they can even help with ingrown hairs. Scraping off the dead layer from which they can infect or become infected. Let your hair grow properly and naturally in the shaved areas. You are not soft. But they serve their purpose. To get rid of all that dead skin, they are most effective for getting rid of other pimples around your body. I have successfully removed a few stains on my shoulders, one on my neck and a few on my back (with an actual back scraper) after years of using other brushes. These were the only ones that worked exactly because they are rough, a super rough. I needed it, maybe you didn't, but I need it. They work and I recommend them. I also sometimes had ingrown pains on my buttocks. It does too. Acne appeared on the pope. Do not touch him. Just shower and scrub. Lather, rinse, repeat daily. This will pass in about 1-3 days. I'm serious, currently I don't have pimples everywhere, no dead skin, they work fantastic on my knees and elbows too. I can't say more. Coarse is good. The ladies might not like it, but the rough boys might like it. Check it out and really give this young man a chance. You will not regret it.
