Review on 📻 SAMCOM FPCN10A Two Way Radio Rechargeable UHF Walkie Talkie Kit with Double PTT, Long Range Capability, 3 Pack by Joseph Morris

My Maxon gmrs 210 radios needed new batteries after over 20 years so I decided to replace them with this radio. Very happy with Samcom's line of radios, distance, sound and functionality are good for my occasional use. The advantages of this radio are that it is compact, well built and surprisingly cheap. The display is nice and bright and I don't like that the frequency isn't shown (just the channel number) compared to other Samcon radios I have that show the TX and RX frequency number. I removed the low power FRS frequencies from the radio leaving only the 5w and 50w frequencies. The downsides are that the radio programming software is limited. The software works well when connected to the radio with a Kenwood cable. I don't like that I can't program settings like squelch and power for individual frequencies as this software feature is global for all 20 frequencies. I still don't understand the power selection, there are three levels to choose from, one of which can be chosen high/low, but there is no option on the radio to change the selection. Overall, I get good range and overall performance from this budget radio. . Good buy for a good radio.
