Review on SuperSonic Widescreen Compatible Built 24 Inch by Michael Vargas

Just bought a SuperSonic SC-2412 from Revain. So far everything works GREAT. EXCEPT when I insert an SD card or USB stick into the USB 2 slots (the ones along the DVD case) they are not recognized - USB 1 "No Device" works, but this input doesn't play movies . I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it either, but the remote control that came with the unit differs from the instructions, see photo. I hate starting a return with a Revain and will just try another if this unit is defective. Any input good/bad with USB 2 ports? Thanks very much! Update - After speaking to a SuperSonic support rep. According to a SuperSonic support representative, THIS INFORMATION IS NOT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. I ask if he can show me what he's reading. "NO, his info is for SuperSonic support only." According to SuperSonic support - I have the latest model of remote and the instructions have not been updated, either online or along with the TV instructions. How to use USB or card slots - Source > DVD > Insert USB or card > On my remote control (photo attached) - Press D.USB/SD > Select movie to play. Important - this information is not in the instructions either: Compatible file formats AVI - 720 x 480 max! but this is the only one I've tried that was suggested by the support team. I use Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate, to convert DVD or other files to TV AVI file. Tip - Use Xvid format when using above program, most movies are MUCH smaller file size and quality is the same or maybe better. And make sure you don't exceed 720x480. What I learned about the USB/Card slot - The maximum filename size to display correctly on the TV is 20 characters. Now I'm happy camping, the TV is working great so far, still need to do more testing on all features. Hope this helps others. Thanks very much!
