As for the fit, I wear 7 1/2 women's street shoes and bought the women's 8 1/2 in white and love them. I'm between 8 and 8 1/2 but they are great as I wear socks not tights. My first impression when getting dressed was that I was wearing sneakers. They are definitely heavier and have a higher heel, which for me in my late 40's took some time to adjust. My advice to anyone buying Bloch tap shoes for the first time, just be aware that they will NOT fit your shoe size. Most people need half a size up or up. Refer to the Bloch size chart, it's helpful.
