I bought this video head to use with binoculars to view large western wildlife and to film and photograph with my phone and camera. First I looked at several video heads that failed the selection. I've bought, sold and given away a few. This is the most expensive video head I've ever bought, but that's not saying much. It was recommended by other Digiscopes who found it worked pretty well. And it works decently, but it takes some getting used to. I liked the video head. However, as other reviews have mentioned, the clamps are poorly placed, as is the swivel knob to lock or unlock to move your head. It's somewhat slick, but not as smooth as I'd hoped, and resists a bit when trying to fix tilt with the scope. I often have to lock my scope up a little higher to compensate for movement after locking it in place. It's working fine for now but I'll probably sell it in the future and buy a better video head for what I'm doing and buy an Outdoorsman video head. It pairs beautifully with the Promaster carbon fiber tripod. If your budget is in that price range I would recommend this liquid head. If you have more money to spend I would consider a few other options.
