Children had to deal with Joy Con Drifting for the past 18 months, nothing was mentioned until it got really bad, so about 12 months. Typical kids. They looked pretty fancy anyway, and we didn't. They're no more expensive than regular Joy Cons, so I took the money. Shortly after purchasing it, I read a couple of articles that mentioned that Nintendo did something different with these particular Joy Cons to effectively fix future drift issues. Just take a look. The original certainly didn't last, especially with Nintendo, whose products I've associated with quality for decades. It took years for my N64 joysticks to degrade. My Wii, Wii U and Switch Pro controllers work great. Heck, even some old Xbox 360 controllers are pretty reliable, very little drift, but Rocket League's heavy 4 years will do. I'm glad Nintendo fixes the Joy Cons if they screw up, so I figured it was a safe bet.
