I have had the Skylink security system since 2001 and to date it has not failed. I bought this system as a replacement because the Skylink brand gave me confidence. Skylink recommends adding additional accessories for its reliability, ease of installation and flexibility. My previous Skylink SC-001 alarm still works great with 17 years of impeccable service because I bought it in 2000. Let me tell you how this new AAA+ Multilink Pro ML-001 system worked: While testing the system I noticed that the plant lost contact with the motion sensor even when very close and an alarm went off that indicated sensor manipulation. Apparently defective, although in the manual the manufacturer insists that the sensor be programmed for the bi-pass zone so the alarm doesn't work. Door window sensors work well provided they are very close to the panel. I placed the panel next to the front door to my house and the sensors are less than half a meter from it. So if they work well and don't give false positives. The control of the sensors through the control panel is permanent and efficient. The rest of the functions of the ML-001 alarm and monitoring center work perfectly and respond perfectly to telephone commands, which eliminates the need to carry a remote control with you, as arming, checking and disarming the system is more convenient via telephone. I doubt that a company as reputable and reputable as SkyLink has launched a product with flaws. Perhaps the manual doesn't indicate that the range of the sensors in this system is reduced compared to others. I think my motion sensor is defective, but the rest works satisfactorily and guards my house like an old 17 year old SC-001.
