Review on πŸ”‹ Waitiee 3 in 1 Wireless Charger: Fast 15W Qi-Certified Charging Station for Apple iWatch, AirPods, and iPhone 12/11 series by Richard Deng

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Back From The Dead is good for chargers and adapters

WAITIEE 5 in 1 Wireless Charger, Qi Wireless Charging Station was shipped by Revain on February 3rd, 2021. It was fairly easy to put together and worked well with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I was happy with the product. After a few months, the Qi charging failed completely. The included power bank still worked because the little red power light was still on, but I had to switch to plugging the cable into the iPhone to charge it. This was a real disappointment. I submitted a review and gave it 1 star. A few months later, when I was about to take WAITIEE to an electronics recycling company along with some other items, I decided to try WAITIEE again. Amazing it worked! I didn't throw away the box it came in but as you can see from the photos the box has a sticker on the box with printing so small you need a jeweler's loupe to read it. I have enlarged it for your viewing pleasure. There is a wording that the charging mechanism has high temperature protection that turns off the charger. You have to turn it off and it will reset after a while. When the company contacted me after the 1 star rating, they didn't tell me anything about heat protection. Since using the charger again a few weeks ago, I've plugged the Apple Watch charger into a separate adapter instead of being powered by WAITIEE. I suspected that the power consumption in combination with the iPhone could be too much for the electronics, which could lead to overheating. In any case, the charger has not switched itself off since then. Another suggestion might be to simply disconnect the charger from the 15W USB adapter that comes with WAITIEE and only plug it in while charging. It can also minimize the possibility of the device shutting down due to excessive heat generation, although this is somewhat inconvenient. I've raised my rating to 3 stars since it's working now. I can't give it a higher rating as I can't vouch for its long term reliability and I doubt it can charge multiple items at once without overheating. Maybe in a few years, if the block is still working, I'll look at the rating again. I can now confirm that it does indeed charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max in a protective case.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
