I'm really not crazy, but with news of the upcoming 2019 polar vortex heading to the Midwest, I had to find a way to keep my dog, or rather my dog's PAWS, warm. when he had to go outside. He's a rather thick-coated Labrador, but he tends to get cold outside when the temperature drops below 0º. I knew we were in trouble with record lows forecast, so I brainstormed. I didn't want to invest in boots without knowing if he would even wear them. I started thinking about mittens, and then I came up with little wool socks. That was really a great purchase! There were enough pairs to keep some kits ready while others dried. I put bandages around the socks to hold them up, but yes - SUCCESS! They acted like woolen mittens for his feet! He never sat down or raised his paws from the extreme cold. I would call it a win. But I am sure that they are also great for children's feet. :)
