I ordered this because my stand up shower drain was becoming slower and slower to the point that if the shower lasted more than two minutes we would be standing ankle deep in water. First I tried several rounds of Drano and nothing happened. Then I tried these weird hook ties which had good reviews but just didn't go with my obviously very bad drain plug. I decided to use great forces (namely this product!) to avoid calling a plumber. I followed the directions twice and found nothing but dirty water so I figured I should try harder. This thing claimed to go up to 25 feet so I decided to crank it until I literally couldn't crank it anymore and see what happened. When I first lowered it and hit the first connector, I pushed it with my hand as hard as I could, then tightened the nut and started turning. I twisted until I couldn't, then loosened the nut and tried to pull it out. At first it didn't budge at all and I was afraid the thing would get stuck in the shower drain, but as I kept pulling it started to come out and I carefully pulled it out. Check out the video of what came out of the drain but suffice it to say our shower has been draining perfectly ever since! Be sure to wear the gloves provided, old clothes you're happy to get dirty, and a garbage bag to put the day's catch in. Much luck!
