Know Your Vehicle's Bulb Sizes BEFORE Ordering - I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder that uses an H3 bulb. As I found out, not all H3 bulbs are created equal. I stopped at a local auto parts store to see if I could purchase an LED fog light bulb for my car but no luck. The value of this trip was seeing what a standard halogen bulb looked like, so I knew the connections and the bulb base. What I didn't pay attention to was the overall length of the lamp. Little did I know until I removed the old bulb and tried to replace it with this brand of bulb that my car's fog lamp housing would not support the length of this particular brand of bulb, the bulb was just too long to fit into the housing fit. Lesson - Know the dimensions of your car lamp, the depth and width of your case, and your plug configuration BEFORE you place an order. Measure your lamp AND your body, if the seller doesn't give dimensions, ask for the specific dimensions of the lamp before you buy, or buy elsewhere. Don't rely on the answer to the question "Does this fit your car's year, make and model" or simply on the bulb type like I did. Gathering these facts in advance will avoid returns, delays, and installation frustrations.
