This product is NOT hypoallergenic or "friendly enough for your sensitive skin" as advertised! I had been wearing these earrings for a week and suddenly my ears started itching and I could feel the scab around the earrings. I knew right away I was having a reaction (I'm allergic to nickel). I removed the earrings and found that the earlobes were infected and bleeding. 925 sterling silver is made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals such as copper and nickel. Nickel is the most common sensitizing metal and any product advertised as hypoallergenic must guarantee that the product is nickel free. I suspect since these earrings are also plated in white gold that's why it took a week for my reaction to occur as the plating was wearing off and my ear was exposed to the nickel. For the last 12 years I have only bought earrings advertised for sensitive skin. and i have never had a reaction before this product that really shows that these earrings are not suitable for sensitive skin. A week later my ears are still trying to heal and I can't wear earrings.
