Review on WeHope 34120 Waste Ball Seal for Thetford Style II & Style Plus Toilets Replacement by Cristofer Cejudo

Exactly what was needed for our Thetford RV Toilet

. I purchased this kit specifically after seeing a YouTube video detailing what I needed to repair the toilet in our 5th Jayco bike. He had a common problem that over time the seal dries out and starts to leak, and the small amount of water that must remain in the toilet to keep the seal wet and functional will no longer hold water. The lack of a good seal can result in sewer odors (poop) getting back into the bathroom on wheels and NOBODY wants that! Draining the water only took a few minutes. Gaskets on the toilet and the bottom of the toilet, and finally got around to changing them last weekend. Firstly, while not complicated, the procedure was of course NOT as simple as the videos on YouTube about replacing seals make it out to be! Our unit had nuts on the base nuts holding the toilet, so I needed a thin straight blade screwdriver. You will then need a 1/2 inch wrench to loosen these nuts. To separate the toilet bowl from the base, which is required to replace the gasket, put your hand in the hole in the back of the bowl and take a 3/8" socket wrench to remove two screws, then turn the Seat. on the right to separate the bowl. The smaller toilet seal simply sits in the slot for it. Remove the old gasket, clean the area and install the new gasket from the kit. Reassemble the seat, don't forget the 3/8" screws and after replacing the base gasket you can take care of that too as that gasket is included and you've gotten this far with the repair, attach it the base back on the ground. When done correctly, the base will break the base seal and stand firm and stable on the ground. New gaskets should last a few years, especially if you watch a few videos of using Plumber Lubricant on the toilet gasket itself. work is done!
