These connectors are sold for RG8X but are larger. The screw part is very loose on the cable and the inner sleeve of the pin is slightly smaller than the middle dielectric. You can actually pinch the foil shield on the RG-8X's center dielectric into the center contact and create a short! If you then start soldering the shield to the connector so that there is another strain relief next to the center conductor, the connector's plating refuses to accept the solder. I used the highest heat and flux, but the solder still clumped and never got wet on the connector. Not recommended.
