I wore them as pajamas for the first time on a recent camping trip. On the second night of the trip, the minimum temperature was 30 and the temperature was 27. In my duvet over the sleeping mat, these long underwear kept me warm. I wore the pants for the first 7 miles of the 13-mile hike, which followed, under slight hiking pants. Temperatures were in the 40's. I felt quite comfortable and didn't feel too hot, even though I quickly get warm on hikes. I am 5 feet of 7 inches tall, weigh £ 155, have a long upper body and have ordered a medium size. The top is long enough to be put into the waistband. It is not a lack of upper material, it is just my reality as someone who has a long upper body. I really like these pants and would order a second couple if necessary.
