Review on Maui Moisture Anti-Frizz Curl Shampoo with Vanilla Bean Extract - Smooth & Repair Formula, 13 Fl Oz by Heather Rodriguez

Finally found a vanilla shampoo that isn't terrible

It smells like vanilla and cocoa butter/shea butter to me. I apply cocoa butter all over my body after a shower so it complements the skin really well. I've been looking for a vanilla shampoo for so long, all the ones I've found really dry my hair out when they smell nice or barely smell like vanilla. That's a good balance. I just saw that "Native" has a line of vanilla scented shampoos but I love this one so much I'll stick with it. Before using this shampoo I used Kaliya's Natural Shampoo. Very limited ingredients, good products but shipping from Canada was very expensive and they expire before I can fully use them if I buy in bulk. So I decided to change my system a bit. As a kid I used cheap things like Suave and V05, I have Garnier, Aussie, Herbal Essence, Pantene, Treseme, OGX (have loved them for a long time), Biolage (still love them so much but the smell is freaking great and they somewhat expensive) and much more. Smell wise I would compare Maui to OGX but with a much better quality of ingredients. It's really hydrating. Very frothy. My only issue is that my scalp oil smells like peppermint (Bluebeautifly) and doesn't mix well with vanilla scented so I may try to find a different shampoo for the days I use it.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Crumpled
