I bought this to make chewable necklaces for my daughter with silicone beads. However, the diameter is too large to easily pass the beads. I had to cut it at an angle and thread it carefully, then pull it and it barely fit. This slowed down our necklace-making operation a bit. If you're buying this to use with silicone beads, be aware of the diameter and go with a not-so-thick one. However, if you're buying it for a different purpose and want a chunky thread, that would be great. It is shiny silver gray and high quality. And that's a lot.
