Comfortable, durable, fun

Update 2018 3rd Summer Season Received 5 stars. i still love him It has retained its durability and I haven't had any issues with punctures, leaks or broken valves - it's a pleasure to kayak a few times a week with my dog on board. I use a cheap yoga mat on the bottom of the boat for extra protection. * Both me and my dog wear life jackets at all times! I like the portability and the ease of assembly and disassembly. I have decided to buy a pump that will be connected to my car. This speeds up the setup process and is especially useful when completely drained. Note: The power pump has a safety feature that prevents sections from being filled as desired. So I use a power pump and then supplement it with a manual one. However, I seem to have lost track of the skeg but was able to order a replacement direct from intexstore.com and type 11650 (part number) in the search bar. It cost โ‚ฌ3.40 plus shipping. If you have any doubts about this or are looking for a starter kit to try kayaking without spending a lot of money I cannot recommend this particular product enough. Car! I live in an area full of natural activities and have been considering buying a kayak for many years. I've rented many different types of boats over the years, but investing in both a kayak and a frame to carry on my car was definitely a no-no. After a long search on the internet, I decided on inflatable toys. One of the most important requirements was that it was strong enough to take your dog with you. It definitely fits the bill. I have taken it several times and I must say that I like it. Some of the advantages: Easy transport in any vehicle. brought 2 of 3 of my dogs, claws trimmed) Spacious Very comfortable Moves well in the water Two double valves are very reliable Some of the Cons: Heavy (best to inflate as close to the water as possible) Not a task for a single person with physical limitations (I think ) The paddle is a bit weak. I ordered Day Tripper which is much better. The instructions are a bit missing. Pool toy style valves that are difficult to manipulate. Deflation can be tiring. I chose a double room so it can accommodate one more person or a dog. If you decide to purchase this kayak, I recommend that you set it up at home first to get a handle on the inflation process and make sure everything is in order. The hand pump is quite easy to use and inflates the kayak quickly. I bought a small motor pump mainly for the deflation function as it can be difficult to pump out all the air, especially the bottom which for some reason doesn't have a dual valve function. There is a plug on the back of the kayak that you must ensure it is secure before entering the water. This plug is used to drain water from the kayak when it is ready. It's not in the manual, and we found it out the hard way. If you bring your dog, I recommend trimming and filing your dog's nails and making sure they have a life jacket (I recommend the Outward Hound). I also bought an inexpensive yoga mat to put on the bottom of the kayak just for extra protection and to give more stability under her paws. I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to spending lots of time messing with it this summer.
