does not stand behind the product

I purchased an Explorer K2 and was enjoying many hours of kayaking on the lake and canal where I live in South Florida until a few weeks ago a seam on the pontoon tore about a half inch ago. I followed the directions using the supplied round patch with the appropriate adhesive. I later did it a second time with different sealants and with sealing tapes. I clamped it and crossed it. After 5 attempts I gave up and then realized that the seam is coming apart even more. I called Intex support andโ€ฆ

The redesign seems weaker than the originals

I have 3 of these, have owned them for a season now and am trying to test them, has worked great on over 20 sea trips this season, even pretty good for my 8 river trips on the river that reached class 4 (Pudre River), the porting isn't good enough for big rapids so you'll have to step aside to drain it from time to time if you're doing class 3 and up , I was very impressed with how he handles the impact of rocks in rough waters. There is a hole in one of the seams on the inside of the boat andโ€ฆ

Great kayak and very durable, fun to use.

A year later I can tell you that this is a really good kayak for occasional flat water cruising. My wife and I have taken it several times and have a real pleasure using it. Easy to set up and remove. It's heavy and a little bulky to pack, but you'd expect it. When inflated it's a nice smooth ride on the water. This is an inflatable kayak and those who compare it to a hard hull boat are doing it a disservice. You're not going to go whitewater kayaking with it, nor are you going on week-longโ€ฆ

Does not contain a mountain stream

I opened it up and blew it in my living room but there was no stream, river or anything else in the box. I think I should add my own. I tried to test it in the bathtub but the bathtub isn't big enough. I accidentally pulled the shower curtain off the railing when I tripped over a paddle. I banged my head on the side of the kayak, not the tub, so that was good. Anyway, I couldn't get out of the tub back then because my feet got tangled in the shower curtain and the kayak was on top of me. My dog

Great kayak for the price

Great product. Bought at the end of summer for $94. So the price fluctuates depending on the season. It took me about 20 minutes to set it up the first time. Approximately 15 minutes for subsequent attempts. Filmed 3-4 times in the last 2 months. Folds up compact enough to fit in the trunk of a small car. The paddles work but I found them small for me. This kayak is also a bit wide. I ended up with a 96" paddle, but I'm 5ft 10" tall. My 5 year old daughter agrees. When I stretch my legs, I have

Turned out to be a great buy. So comfortable!

We are experienced kayakers who make it difficult for others to sit on top and in kayaks. That was our first inflatable boat. For the price of admission we made a great purchase. We use it on vacation so we don't have to drive our expensive kayaks hundreds or thousands of miles in a car and worry about them being stolen when we go camping. We've used our Intex Explorer on the ocean inlets of Murrels Inlet, SC and it's great for that. Flat water with little current. Our limit is 1 1/2 to 2 hours

Comfortable, durable, fun

Update 2018 3rd Summer Season Received 5 stars. i still love him It has retained its durability and I haven't had any issues with punctures, leaks or broken valves - it's a pleasure to kayak a few times a week with my dog on board. I use a cheap yoga mat on the bottom of the boat for extra protection. * Both me and my dog wear life jackets at all times! I like the portability and the ease of assembly and disassembly. I have decided to buy a pump that will be connected to my car. This speeds upโ€ฆ
