Review on πŸ“· Domke 711-15B Large Filmguard Bag (Black) - Ultimate Protection for Your Valuable Film Equipment by Trey Michaels

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much easier than checking the film manually, great thing!

Bought because I was tired of asking for manual review of the film and went to Cambodia where the policy does not require manual review, everything has to go through an x-ray machine. At the checkpoint, I simply took it out of my hand luggage, put it in the rack next to my shoes and sent it off. The first time I warned the agent not to think I was smuggling something in a weight pouch and he looked at me like I was wasting his time with a warning and just sent it off. After that, I just sent it every time. No questions, no delays, no 15 minute waits as they reviewed each item individually. much better than manual verification. Just developed 30 rolls of film, no x-ray haze, no problems. The film was ISO 50, 100, 400 and Rollieflex Infrared. The large bag holds approximately 30 rolls of 120 film in a zippered gallon pouch. This bag is slightly larger than a gallon zip so the zip lays nice and flat inside. Note. Some X-rays going through this thing, I could see it on the monitor. I doubt it's enough protection to send your band in checked baggage.
