I bought an Arctis Pro headset, hopefully it will replace my Logitech G933. After using it for a while I couldn't use it anymore. Please note that this review does not reflect the updated version of the headset. The updated headset product I received was 10/10. Many thanks to the seller PROS: -Bluetooth. It was a feature I didn't know I wanted or needed. Build quality is decent, although I've seen reports of a headset strap. Headset shell and headset hinge crack or break after a year of use - Headset is lightweight and fits well on my head - Headset looks very stylish - Changing batteries is convenient - Retractable mic is a good feature - Mic quality is good but sounds nasal - Accessible to most , if not all headset controls can be accessed from the base station - the connection distance is long, not disconnected or distorted when walking. NEUTRAL: - Sound quality is ok, but has its pitfalls. The highs, mids and lows are pretty good. The headset is very quiet out of the box. You must enable/disable the volume limit for the headset to pop out. Unfortunately, this exacerbates the headset's biggest problem. The bass in the headset is weak. However, more EQ can solve these problems, see below. In fact, the sound quality is there, but there is no "spice" to it. In my experience, the headset has better sound quality than the Corsair Virtuoso, but the Logitech G933 beats it. No RGB. I found the RGB lighting on the wired version to be great and not too noticeable. It was a nice subtle gesture. CONS: - The headset has constant white noise/noise that cannot be corrected. Noise occurs regardless of whether it is connected to a base station or at certain volume settings. The noise also increases when the volume limiter is turned off. This issue affects all Arctis Pro wireless headsets and Steelseries acknowledges the issue but is not taking any action. Google it to find out more. Unless you have sensitive ears, you probably won't hear or notice it. Presumably the noise will go away once you're fully wired, but that defeats the whole purpose of this headset. Battery life is poor compared to other Arctis headsets and competitors. You get 10 hours/battery. Yes, you can easily replace them, but the battery life is no match for the Arctis 7, which lasts over 20 hours on a single charge. Terrible equalizer settings. When delivered, you only have 5 EQ control bands available. I find that unacceptable at this price point, especially since other Arctis headsets have more EQ control. You must use third party software to fully control the equalizer. - When I stop/pause/mute audio, I hear a loud static sound regardless of media source, type, or volume. The headset is a few years old and needs an update. Maybe an update will fix these problems, but for now I suggest looking further if you can't live with these problems as many can.
