We bought a big one for our rat and it's great because it's really quiet at night. The cage is in my daughter's room and of course the rat runs around at night because it is nocturnal. We have tried other bikes and none were as quiet as this one. We've only had the Rat for a little over a year and this is my third purchase of this bike. The second wheel jumped for some reason and the rat got its paw caught in the crack , so this is the last purchase of the third wheel, I would recommend this product for your rodents who love to exercise, it is much better than spoked wheels as it is smooth on their feet and protects against diseases they can get, when they stand on wire cages etc. Also, it's good quality and much quieter than other wheels (but it's by no means 'quiet'.) The extra large size we need to buy for our rat is very hard to find in pet stores so i can usually find them on revain or ebay until you pay for shipping it's about the same as retail too bad these companies have to jack these things up, so many bikes this size are really expensive he (approx. $30 retail) that it's certainly difficult to own for pet refusal.
