Headphones fit my ear like a glove, the sound quality is good and when there is no sound you can hear everything around you. To the callers, my voice sounded clear and without problems. The same applies to my impression of the callers. I'm happy to say that the TicPods do a good job of what headphones/earbuds are supposed to do. It took me some time to get used to the controls. Shaking your head or nodding to answer or decline a call felt a bit odd to me. I didn't think it was a good idea when I thought about how often I nod to the music. But in practice it turned out to be good. As the music stops, then 1-2 seconds of "delay" before the phone rings. This is more than enough time to stop nodding and acknowledge the incoming call. Very well done. The TicPods controls were good, but I had a problem. Swipe up or down to adjust volume, double tap to skip or rewind tracks. Hold to pause and/or access the wizard. Well, press and hold where I was struggling. Holding down ALWAYS activates the assistant, even if I just wanted to pause the music. The nice thing is that it paused the music for a moment, but only when the assistant was waiting for a command or transmitting a response. Also, it refused to pause with the controls. Although I will say that removing both headphones from the ear will result in the track stopping immediately until at least one of them is reinserted into the ear. Speaking of which, the left earbud is the lead. The controls are on both earbuds, but you'll notice a more responsive and cohesive feel when you have the left earbud in your ear. Not necessarily bad, but definitely something users should be aware of. The battery life of the headphones alone was just over 4 hours. BUT it is important to note that the case charges the device approximately 2.75 times. In my non-scientific testing, I could last a full day on a single charge and still have one charge left. That means I'll charge the case (and headphones) in the morning so I can wear the headphones actively until around lunchtime. At this point I threw her in the case and quickly refilled her juice. Towards the end of lunch I put them back in my ear only to take them out again later for another load. As mentioned, the case uses USB-C for charging. There is no wireless charging here. And no, you cannot charge the earbuds separately. While charging, there are notification lights to let you know that the case is charging and also when it is charging. TicPods also have a real-time translation feature. I tested this function briefly. This worked well with real-time calls. There's a slight learning curve, but if you're in a bind, this is a great feature. Last but not least, the TicPods stay in my ear exceptionally well. I've exercised, walked (running instead of falling), shook my head for 3 minutes and even did somersaults on the trampoline and they never fell out. The headphones are also waterproof. So a bit of sweat and rain isn't a problem, but you don't want to swim with that. They are not waterproof, just waterproof. There is also an application for the device. It's not required, but it's nice to be able to change and modify some of TicPods' features. But in standard form, TicPods work great. In short, great product! I'm more and more a fan of Mobvoi and Tic products. These are top quality products, well thought out, with unique features and modest prices. This is an absolutely great product for anyone looking for an alternative to big name camps. TidPods 2 for the win!
