Before I write a review for this product, I would like to correct an error that I noticed when asking questions about this product. Someone explained that they were disappointed that there was an error on the dial. The mistake is that he uses iiii instead of iv to indicate the position of "4" on the face. It's not a mistake. Every dial I've seen or can think of uses iiii instead of iv. It's a tradition that goes back centuries. The reason for this is a bit unclear, but it seems like there are 3 main ideas. 1) iv didn't always stand for 4. It's basically a modern tense notation. I don't know why, but some say they didn't use IV as it was associated with the god Jupiter. 2) There is a story about King Louis XIV that says he insisted it was different and forced the watchmaker to change it. . I find it hard to believe as this type of dial existed before King Louis XIV. 3) Another common reason is that it's aesthetics/symmetry. digital dials, iiii is the correct way to mark the number "4". This watch has NO flaw on the dial. Regarding the review of the watch itself. This watch is surprisingly heavy and well built. The appearance of the wood is lighter than in the photo, but still very beautiful. Front and back cutouts add style while the interior is stunning. Retro is in fashion now. This pocket watch is definitely attractive and unique. For the money the quality is amazing.
