The great debate has been whether or not to use plain distilled water, or a PG mix such as this. I utilized distilled water for years, that is, until mold developed in my humidifier. I reverted back to the trusty Xikar solution, as it has the anti-fungal agent to combat the potential problems that you face when only using distilled water. It works, and I don't question it. I'll happily shell out a few bucks extra to protect my investment, especially for the extra piece of mind. After all, Xikar DID engineer it to go with their Xikar humidifiers. Good product!
