I have very fine straight hair. Due to the long stay in the water, it is also severely damaged by chlorine. I also have a very itchy scalp. It's not dandruff and I've found that dandruff shampoos don't help, but I've tried to find something that does. I try to use a mild daily shower shampoo and a clarifying shampoo once a week. I use a good conditioner and mask once a week to get rid of frizz. This shampoo is a good clean shampoo. A little is enough, a squeeze on my shoulder length hair was more than enough. It lathers well and has an odd but lovely minty, almost eucalyptus scent that I like. The hair became clean after one wash without tightening the hair. It was a little harder to rinse out compared to other shampoos, but it didn't leave my hair soft or weighed down.
