The simplicity of these thermometers is nice, with a switch to choose between F and C and a good sized easy to read digital display . I've only been using them for a few hours and when I first set them up in a 55 gallon tank that was about 3/4 full, they read within 1 degree of each other on opposite ends of the tank (about 4 feet apart away). . In just a few hours they showed exactly the same temperature which is nice to see because it shows that they are most likely calibrated the same and that the water in the tank is the same temperature at both ends since the heater is on the back. reservoir directly across from one of these thermometers. So far these thermometers are working perfectly. The suction cups stick to the sides of the tank fairly well. The display unit simply attaches to a suction cup and can be removed very easily should you ever need to change the battery. Yes, the battery cover is on one end on the back, but that's not a problem as it's easy to remove the cover and insert the battery. After longer use I will update my rating. Pros: Both devices show the same temperature in a large tank at opposite ends of the tank, ease of use, installation, simplicity, display screen. Cons: Nothing so far.
