This is VERY nice! When you buy something "hand-painted" it is often actually hand-painted, but not necessarily with skill or care. These weren't like that. The colors are very vibrant and the pattern is skillful and consistent. The paint used to paint the outside of the shell is domed or "puffy," so keep that in mind, for better or for worse. It's pretty clear in the description, but these are very small bowls perfect for dipping sauces. They sell larger options for other uses.
