Review on BOOMPODS AQUABLASTER: Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker w/ Amazon Alexa, Hi-Quality Sound - Enjoy Shower, Pool, Beach (Green/Orange) by Michael Murphy

Purchased to control my pool and spa over home wifi without worrying about my phone falling in the water. It's waterproof and I can control the pumps and heaters as needed. If it's not used every 20 minutes or so it will disconnect, then it will be difficult to reconnect without me going into the phone app to reset it (defeating the purpose of keeping the phone out of the water , is nullified). Also the audio cuts out to the point where I can't understand what he's saying and have to repeat requests/responses. Since I have many other Alexa devices that work fine, I believe this device is the problem. I'm not tech savvy but I find this device doesn't connect directly to my home network which is disappointing. It seems to connect to my phone via bluetooth and an app on my phone which in turn accesses the home network. As a result, the initial connection and communication is much more laborious and inconvenient than advertised. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this product.
