I recently moved abroad and bought this power adapter which was meant to power 220V for my Wii. After using it for about 20 minutes, I heard a loud popping sound. Needless to say, the power supply burned out. This resulted in the DVD getting stuck in the Wii and not ejecting, and the Wii was unable to read the disc. So I have a new Wii that no longer works. I bought it because others had good experiences with this product. As an engineer, I know that if a manufacturer does not have good quality control at the manufacturing site, they will produce adapters of wildly variable quality. Some of them will work fantastic while others, like mine, will burn your system.
