Short and Short

Long and Short Short If you're looking for a single burner propane camping stove then you've come to the right place. But he and his gas bottle are too big and heavy to pack again. Long sections from my spreadsheet are included at the end of this section to show the values I think are important. The most serious question seems to be about the heat output (Btu) of the device. This unit is rated at 7500 BTUs and is one of the lowest ratings on most propane stoves. Comparisons to other ovens have been provided to provide some means of determining if its heat output is adequate. Please note that most portable hobs are limited to 15 amps at 120 volts and this appliance beats them all. Also note that the biggest complaint about propane camp stoves is that they get too hot and burn the food. If you're concerned about the BTU output, take a close look at the hours. on high." Higher BTU propane units will run significantly shorter with a propane tank. There have been many complaints about the flame setting in Coleman two-burner ovens, and there are U-tube sites that describe how to clean the burner control box to fix that Problem to fix Problem The problem appears to be a greasy control box on the burner Although the controls on my stove work properly, I checked it for this review only It is exceptionally clean with a light coating of clear grease The stove is clean Very stable and will safely support all regular sized cooking utensils allowing the burner to run efficiently.A really nice feature is that the grate can be easily removed.Just by pulling up each leg. This makes cleaning easier. You will need to provide your own starter and windshield if you need them.I use an Ozeri piezoelectric stove lighter to light the burner to start. Works well. Connections between the furnace and the fuel tank are not friendly ionic. You need to connect the fuel bottle to the pressure regulator mount and then to the stove. These connections are made with manual screwing. This all works well, but it's a little awkward to connect each non-cross-threaded fitting. Works but could be more comfortable. Be careful not to lose the unconnected regulator as it is necessary for operation. I made a storage bag to store all the parts, burner, regulator and igniter. The standard fuel for this stove is a 1 lb Coleman can and the chart shows how long this stove can burn on high power. The price difference between these canisters is everywhere in my area. Considering the purchase price, the cost per hour of operation at high speeds ranges from $1.19 to $4.41. The cheapest is Walmart and the most expensive is Revain. For short-term use like emergencies or short-term camping, this is acceptable, but frequent and heavy use requires something better. You can purchase a low pressure hose to connect the stove to a larger standard low pressure tank. They use the same regulator, so only the matching hose is needed. Using a "replacement tank" is the more expensive but easiest way to do this, but in my area allows the oven to run at full capacity for $0.53 an hour. Filling up a 20-pound tank at a place like Costco can result in an even lower cost. I use it in emergency situations when there is a power outage, like during a hurricane. I'm on my way to the cheapest bottles at Walmart.
