When I first received these sandals, they smelled horribly of a cheap plastic, the way the atmosphere of Payless Shoe Source smelled. I let them air out. They're cute and seemed to fit decently. I wear an 8 1/2 and always buy a 9. I bought these mostly for garden work. The first time I wore them while gardening, I realized I couldn't tighten the ankle strap any more and my heels kept sliding backwards a bit. I'm pretty disappointed because I'm past the return period. I thought these would be an adequate replacement for a pair of TEVA hurricanes but they definitely are not as high quality.
