The tips are a bit thin (they are smaller than, for example, an MXL pencil). But new capacitors are easy to find and buy and are getting cheaper every day. That being said, the dynamic drum mics themselves are AMAZING! I can take tom mics and mount them on a guitar cabinet and make amazing sounding recordings. The downside is that the Heimu bass drum mic (very cheap) is actually superior to the bass drum mic that comes with this kit. But the tom and snare mics are almost on par with the SM57 in terms of overall sound pickup and DB gain during performance, and they do a great job of filtering out random noise from the mic.
