Review on Fiskars Ultra Light Green 94186997J by Kevin Stephan

Lightweight but flexible and not durable.

I have to crawl along the dock and also in the boat to support and latch the lid of my pontoon boat. I thought it would help protect my knees. This is my first experience with knee pads so I can't compare them to others but that's how I feel with these knee pads. I wore them for less than an hour today and they were certainly comfortable but I don't think they will last very long. The inner foam liner is already starting to peel away from the outer foam shell and will likely need to be glued in place. The outer foam is just foam with no protection and I think it will soon be pretty burnt by crawling over the boardwalk. I figured there must be some kind of hard plastic coating on the outside. I bought single strap knee pads thinking they would be more comfortable but I think that was a mistake. They didn't want to stay in place in my lap and required constant adjustment. I think dual strap models will probably stay in place better. I wore them with pants, not shorts, so the straps on my legs weren't as uncomfortable. I think a full stretch sleeve option that you have to pull up above the knee would probably be the best choice for wearing shorts. The velcro straps on these knee pads are likely to cut into your foot and quickly become uncomfortable.
