This soap did not work for Athlete's foot.

First, I have used the entire bottle to write this review fairly. I have suffered from the bad athlete's foot. But, this product did not help at all.I often get itchy during the hot seasons in the area of scalp, back, and legs. Unfortunately, I got the athlete's foot infection from the filthy local gym locker room one day. Since then, I was looking for all types of the cure. All the sprays and ointment were not useful. And, they were somewhat adding a zapping or spot cold sensation on my feet other than the typical burning feeling from the infection.During Walmart.com search, I found this Oleavine "Antifungal" soap, as the "top" tea tree oil based soap that would work as the fungal cure, but, after the entire bottle was emptied, I can tell you now it wasn't working, although it is an okay soap, but, not quite the spa-like.The soap is runny and you need to use the sponge or shower towels(mesh) to enjoy the lush lather, but, other than the cool sensation keeping the lather to my body over a minute, it wasn't anything special. I see that the other reviewers also complain about the oil-based soap and drying their skins, and being sticky a little, it still removes the natural grease from my body. The fragrance is sweet in the first 2 hours after the shower. But, again, it wasn't anything special. And, my body got more itchy, sometimes within 12 hours, since I changed it from a regular Tea-tree oil infused soap (no anti-fungal claim). As my body is hot and sweaty and my skin is oily, and with now the crazy itchy feet, I needed stronger soaps. And, I stopped all the sprays and ointments, to just deal with the itch and burning sensation.Lots of reviewers compare this Oleavine product to Dr. Bronner's soaps. I got a peppermint soap from a local store, and it was much better (more runny though) at $10, with better lather, less sticky, more cooling, and it surely controls the itch for the full day or longer.Unfortunately, although Dr. Bronner's soap controls the itch for a full day, but it did not cure the itch entirely, and, I still use Dr. Bronner's soap every day. at lease, all other itchy skin and scalps are in control.Since I found better product and solutions for the fungal controls, I don't look at this Oleavine product as good as I had thought it was for the first few days of use. As I said first, I waited until I used up the entire bottle. I would NOT recommend this if you are looking for anti-fungal solution. Their product name is quite overstated.______________________***For curing the athletic foot, (for poor sufferers like myself)I am using the foot soak method with Boric acid 50%, Salicylic acid 25%, Benzoic Acid 25%. (total 68 table spoonful to 1.5 liter water, or to soak the ankles)This is the copy of the foot bath powder (for curing athlete's foot) I had once purchased in HKG to reduce the fungal itch during my visit. The product and the soaking method worked greatly, BUT, the product is not sold in USA or anywhere on-line. So, I made my own solution.Every day for 2 weeks, I soaked my feet any time between 90 seconds to several minutes. (I never have recommended 20 minutes to sit in the bathroom) After the soak, I dry the feet, especially between the toes with a hair dryer. The result is success, and, I still soak my feet each day to make sure the fungal itch don't come back. The improvement is, the toe nails get slightly thicker, but the solution removes the fungi below the nails, and its odor is completely gone, and the feet are always soft. most of all, I don't have to think about the insanely burning and itchy feet while I am away from home.

Pros
  • I have had a rash on my ankles for months. This body wash is the only thing that works. Great product.
Cons
  • The product may be too harsh for sensitive skin
