These things are crazy beefy. The package feels like lifting up a shoe box full of quarters. Unfortunately, I did not get around to building the swing set before the snow started flying, so I cannot say for sure how durable they are, but I don't see how they couldn't be durable. I'm pretty sure I could swing my SUV from these things. The carabiners and screws seem good, but frankly the hinges by themselves are worth the price. I plan on making a pretty tall swing for my older daughter. I might use carriage bolts and put them all the way through the beaminstead of the lag bolts , so there's no worry about the wood rotting and the lag bolts popping out, and probably will not use the cararbiners (I'll use them for something else).
